The brief

HackEurope 2026, selected from more than 5,000 applicants. We built @everyone, a rapid-response system for emergencies where one call isn't enough.

What we built

  • A distributed backend (FastAPI + Ruby on Rails) that orchestrates parallel Twilio calls to a user's trusted contacts simultaneously.
  • Gemini-powered AI situation briefings so each contact who picks up immediately hears what's happening.
  • Priority-based routing to decide who gets called, in what order, and how escalation proceeds.

How it went

The system is live at at-everyone.help, and the source is on GitHub.

I built the parallel call feature, the AI escalation logic, and the AI context briefing.

We didn't place on the podium or take a track, but getting a distributed system to hold together in that room, against that clock, was worth the trip.
